Arrived from an old link?
If you followed a referral or review link written between 2015 and 2018, the service it described no longer exists and referral codes no longer give free pins. BoardBooster is now a set of free Pinterest tools built on the official Pinterest API. It does not loop, auto-repin, or ask for your password. The tools page lists what is live and what is next. If you came for group boards, the group boards page explains what still works.
2014–2018: the penny-a-pin scheduler
BoardBooster launched in late 2014 from Austin, Texas. It charged one cent per pin, with plans starting at $5 for 500 pins, and every plan got every feature. Its scheduler worked through secret boards: you saved pins to a hidden board from the normal Pinterest app, and BoardBooster published them to the public board on a schedule.
Around that it built Looping (re-saving your old pins to the same board), Campaigns (repinning each new post across your group boards), Tribes (cross-promotion groups), Pin Doctor (an audit for broken links and duplicates), Pin Mover, Group Manager, and a research blog called Labs. Bloggers reported real results, and thousands used it.
June 2018: the shutdown
BoardBooster connected to Pinterest by logging in with the user's password from its own servers. It was never an approved Pinterest partner. On June 21, 2018, Pinterest emailed users saying BoardBooster "may employ spammy behaviors on your behalf that can get your account flagged and terminated" and told them to change their passwords. BoardBooster announced it would close on June 27, 2018: "BoardBooster's approach to pinning is no longer allowed. Our attempts to obtain the official partner status for BoardBooster did not work out, so it's time to move on." Refunds were issued and most users moved to Tailwind.
2018–2026: the quiet years
The farewell page stayed up until 2020. From 2022 to 2025 the domain hosted an unrelated marine-park booking app. In 2026 it expired and was bought at auction.
October 2026: the relaunch
BoardBooster.com is now operated by Axeman Tech, the company behind the Keywords Everywhere browser extension. It has no connection to BoardBooster Inc or its founder. Everything on this site is new code built on the official Pinterest API, with the rules that killed the original written into the design: no passwords, no looping, no automated actions the user did not choose.
